Packaging Act: Lizenzero launches innovative data reporting tool for its customers

Despite being in force for over a year, the German Packaging Act continues to cause misunderstandings among affected companies. The implementation of the data reporting obligation has proven to be particularly prone to errors. The underlying premise: Every quantity change that a company makes must be submitted twice: once to the dual system and once to the LUCID reporting register. If there are discrepancies here, mismatches occur when comparing the two, meaning that the companies concerned may face sanctions.

Due to manual transmission errors alone, double reporting is highly susceptible to mismatches. In addition, there are cases in which the companies concerned completely fail to transfer the quantity reports made at one point to the other.

In order to save its customers the effort of manually entering data in future and to avoid typing errors, the online shop for packaging licensing "Lizenzero" provided by Interseroh has developed a simple download function that is now available to all customers of the shop in their customer account - the quantity download for LUCID.

Lizenzero customer account now offers the option of downloading packaging quantities that have just been licenced as an XML file - a format that is also accepted by LUCID. After downloading, this file only needs to be uploaded to the personal LUCID account as an XML message - done! No additional PC programmes are required for this.

With the quantity download for LUCID, Lizenzero customers will be able to fulfil the requirements of the Packaging Act even more time-efficiently and with fewer errors, significantly reducing the risk of an administrative offence due to incorrect quantity reports.
