Interzero focuses on core business as environmental services provider: divestment of facility activities

Closing completed

Berlin/Cologne. As previously announced, Interzero has sold its shares in ALBA Facility Solutions GmbH (AFS) and ALBA Property Management GmbH (APM) as part of its focus on core activities in the circular economy. The acquiring party is LEO II GmbH & Co KG, based in Munich, which is advised by DUBAG Investment Advisory GmbH.

"With this step, we are placing our facility management business in proven hands and thus enabling further positive development of the companies," explains Melanie Freytag, CFO of the Interzero Group and operationally responsible managing director for the Facility Solutions division. At the same time, we at Interzero can concentrate on our core business as an environmental service provider in the circular economy."

AFS and APM, with around 330 employees, are providers of infrastructural facility management, technical facility management and property management, particularly in the asset classes of residential properties with more than 5,000 residential units and commercial and special properties.

The acquirer is an experienced financial investor specialising in the acquisition and realignment of companies with a stable core business and a viable long-term perspective. The buyer intends to actively develop both companies further and, as is also foreseen in the current corporate planning, to significantly increase turnover in the coming years through active sales measures.

"With the acquisition of ALBA Facility Solutions GmbH and ALBA Property Management GmbH, we are expanding our portfolio of promising ventures. We look forward to working with all employees and customers to further develop the business in this promising sector in the medium and long term," said Dr. Michael Schumann, Managing Director of DUBAG Group.

The closing date of the sale is 30 June 2022. The parties have agreed not to disclose any further details of the transaction.
