Tip-off for the new basketball season: Building on championship moments and looking ahead to new game changers

Alongside sporting successes, the aim for the season that has now begun is once again to work together to raise the visibility of sustainability initiatives in sport and to provide concrete impulses for the circular economy.

Community Game Changers: Sustainable commitment deserves the big stage

Sport and sustainability come to life where people take responsibility, drive ideas forward and inspire others. With this year’s seasonal campaign, ‘Community Gamer Changers’, we are putting precisely these people and projects in the spotlight.

We are looking for initiatives, clubs and organisations that are making Berlin more sustainable and are passionately committed to protecting the environment and conserving resources. Projects can apply for the ‘Community Game Changer’ award via the campaign page at interzero.de/gamechangers. The winner will be chosen by the community.

The selected projects can look forward to two special experiences: around the time of an ALBA match day, they will receive the attention their project deserves, and during a guided tour of Interzero’s LVP sorting plant on Hultschiner Damm, they will have the opportunity to experience the modern circular economy at first hand.

The application period is already underway. We look forward to receiving lots of inspiring entries from Berlin and the surrounding region.

Achieving more together – on and off the court

The new season promises plenty of exciting moments both on and off the court once again. Although the ALBA women’s team will be starting the new season a little later, following the club’s first-ever cup title and the successful home World Cup, the women’s team is also returning from the summer break with plenty of momentum.

Together with ALBA BERLIN, the fans and the Community Game Changers, Interzero is demonstrating in Berlin just how much can be achieved when sport, sustainability and social engagement come together.
