MeetTheTeam: Clarissa Monti provides the right packaging solutions

With ‘Meet the Team’, we would like to give you an insight into our corporate culture and the unique team behind Interzero. We present the professional and personal diversity of our team. Clarissa Monti has been leading the packaging advisory team for four years, supporting customers in Italy and Europe with all questions relating to packaging requirements, recyclability and waste separation in the workplace.

Clarissa Monti: My name is Clarissa Monti. I have been working at Interzero for four years and I am in charge of the packaging consulting team.Together with my team, I support our clients in all matters relating to packaging obligations in Italy and Europe. We supervise projects for the correct disposal of packaging, i.e. for waste separation and the promotion of recyclability. 

What does your career path look like?

Clarissa Monti: I first obtained a bachelor's degree in international relations and then a master's degree in environmental and energy economics. After graduating, I took part in a subsidised European project on energy efficiency and then joined Interzero.

What does your typical working day look like?

Clarissa Monti: My typical working day is very varied and includes providing operational support to a number of client companies, as well as team management and close collaboration with our sales staff. Close coordination between sales and operational consulting is particularly important to ensure that the customer receives high-quality service.

Where does your passion for your job come from?

Clarissa Monti: My passion for environmental and sustainability issues began during my studies, when I attended a class in development economics that focused specifically on issues of sustainable development. I then continued my studies in these areas and ended up here. 

What are you most proud of in your job?

Clarissa Monti: I am particularly proud of my team, the cooperation and mutual trust, that we have built up over the years. I am convinced that trust is one of the most important prerequisites for high-quality work.

What is the biggest challenge in your job?

Clarissa Monti: The biggest challenge in my job is to really understand the needs of customers. This is the only way we can offer tailor-made and high-quality services.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Clarissa Monti: To my younger self, right after graduating, I would advise to leave your comfort zone more often and trust my gut more. 

What is your greatest strength?

Clarissa Monti: My greatest strength is that I am 100% committed to achieving my goals, both professionally and personally.
