Interzero expands offer of professionally refurbished IT equipment with new online store gebrauchte-technik.de

Refurbished is the new bling-bling!

What is useless for some, is for others a cheap and sustainable alternative to new products. Especially IT devices from companies, for example as leasing returns, often have only a short usage period. Through purchasing and professional refurbishment processes, Interzero has been saving such equipment from disposal for several years and keeping it in the usage cycle.  Up to now, Interzero's customers have mainly been companies and organizations, for example in the social sector, but only a few private customers.

Now Interzero is expanding its offer for end consumers with a significantly larger assortment. They have the opportunity to buy remanufactured IT equipment, such as laptops, tablets or smartphones, in the online store gebrauchte-technik.de and thus give them a second life.

Located near Berlin, Interzero took over gebrauchte-technik.de from its previous owner this year, replacing its previous much smaller online store BRANDUSED. The interest in sustainable products is growing. For more and more customers, refurbished is the new "bling-bling", what makes the device so appealing. Previously, it was special design elements and technical features. The GFK published a study on this already in May 2022, which states that this trend is due on the one hand to the rising prices of new devices, but above all also to the increasing sustainability orientation of consumers.

"With gebrauchte-technik.de, we enable everyone to use resources responsibly and also meet the ever-increasing demand regarding Green IT," says Jan Höschel, Managing Director of Interzero Product Cycle. "The benefits are clear: reusing used electronics is not only in the interest of the environment, but also allows buyers to purchase high-quality branded devices at part of the original price."

According to a study by the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, professional remanufacturing of a single smartphone already saves 14 kilograms of primary resources and 58 kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions.  In addition to the benefits for the environment and the wallet, buyers at gebrauchte-technik.de receive free shipping and up to 36 months warranty on the devices. The company can only give this guarantee because the quality standards at gebrauchte-technik.de are very high. Thanks to Interzero's many years of experience in buying and selling IT hardware, all devices go through a certified refurbishment process - from cleaning and data deletion to the installation of a new operating system and the final function test. The predominantly positive reviews on online portals, such as trusted stores, prove the new business model right.

In the future, Interzero's new online store will be steadily expanded by extending the product portfolio and changing offers. The aim is also to strengthen the understanding of the importance of waste avoidance and resource conservation for our environment, in order to get a little closer to the vision - a world without waste.
