Meet the Team: Elvira Brittinger
With ‘Meet the Team’, we would like to give you an insight into our corporate culture and the unique team behind Interzero. We present the professional and personal diversity of our team. Elvira Brittinger works as Remaketing Manager in Purchasing at Interzero Product Cycle and is responsible for the operational handling and management of projects - always with an eye on sustainability and organisation.
Elvira Brittinger: I am Elvira Brittinger. I am a Remaketing Manager in Purchasing at Interzero Product Cycle and I’m responsible for the operational management of projects. I stay in contact with suppliers and handle auditing and billing.
What has been a special moment in your career?
Elvira Brittinger: The most defining moment at Interzero was definitely when I was allowed to take over our largest purchasing project. And that I'm still leading it today.
How did you find out about Interzero?
Elvira Brittinger: I was familiar with Interzero from the fluorescent tube collection systems. I then did a bit of research online and simply liked the message behind it and the idea of making the environment a little better. I then decided to send off my application and that worked out well.
Why was starting a career in project management exactly the right thing for you?
Elvira Brittinger: It was definitely the right step for me because I simply realised that I have a great talent for organisation. I really enjoy planning and organising. I also always have a good overview of everything and can remember a lot of things that happened a long time ago. That's why project management is the perfect fit for me.
What has been your biggest challenge so far?
Elvira Brittinger: The biggest challenge is that not every day is the same and we’re constantly dealing with different tasks. But that also makes it a lot of fun and very varied. And that's also what I really like about the job.
What is your favourite plastic?
Elvira Brittinger: Since I don't have much to do with plastics in our business unit, I‘d choose my favourite material. That would be cotton and/or linen. These fabrics simply feel particularly good on the skin in summer, especially when it comes to clothing.
