Interzero congratulates ALBA JUGEND on the German Championship!

ALBA BERLIN's mU16 team topped off an outstanding JBBL season at the RSM Ebner Stolz Jugend-TOP4 and secured the championship title with a win in the final against EWE Baskets Juniors Oldenburg.

What a weekend in front of a home crowd! The ALBA JUGEND JBBL team secured its fifth title in only its seventh TOP4 appearance and proved once again just how strong the club's youth programme is. The team went into the TOP4 tournament without a single defeat in the season and already won 88:80 against Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg on Friday in front of NBA stars Franz and Moritz Wagner. In the final game, the team of Head Coach Norbert Opitz then crowned its strong season with an 86:74 victory over EWE Juniors Oldenburg. As the youth partner of ALBA BERLIN, we congratulate them on their outstanding sporting success!

The Jugend-TOP4 is the most important youth tournament in German basketball. Over three days, the four best teams of the season in the age groups mU16 (JBBL), wU18 (WNBL) and mU19 (NBBL) compete for the German championship. Like last year, the tournament took place in the legendary Sömmeringhalle in Berlin. With 2350 fans in the venue, lots of energy on the court and great passion, the weekend sent a strong signal in favour of young talent in German basketball. For the first time in ALBA BERLIN's club history, all three ALBA BERLIN youth teams qualified for the TOP4, although two narrow defeats in the semi-finals prevented the NBBL and WNBL teams from reaching the final.
